There’s a lot of Aaron Carter information to process this morning, we don’t even know where to start.
Perhaps the first thing we can tell you is that the singer, who recently hit the headlines for being arrested on DUI and marijuana possession charges, has just announced that he has split from girlfriend Madison Parker.
According to Aaron Carter himself, the split was “very amicable” so nothing too dramatic to report there.
It was, however, what he wrote in an emotional letter to the public that turned heads everywhere.
Nick Carter’s younger brother opened up about his sexuality in a bold and emotional letter to his fans…
“There’s something I’d like to say that I feel is important for myself and my identity that has been weighing on my chest for nearly half of my life,” Aaron Carter began.
“This doesn’t bring me shame, just a weight and burden I have held onto for a long time that I would like lifted off me.
“When I was around 13-years-old I started to find boys and girls attractive,” he confessed.
“There were years that went by that I thought about, but it wasn’t until I was 17-years-old, after a few relationships with girls, I had an experience with a male that I had an attraction to who I also worked with and grew up with.
He had high profile relationships with both Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff, but he has revealed that his main passion has always been and always will be his music…
“To me music has always been my temple. Music will ALWAYS be what transcends us and myself,” he added.
“The studio has always been my safe haven. But the ultimate goal for me is to be satisfied. I never want to be a figure of disappointment.”
We applaud him for pouring his heart out and letting his fans in on something he has been holding onto for so many years.
