What do you do when you have tickets to see Adele and she is forced to cancel?
Turn up anyway… and sing your heart out!
The Oscar and Grammy award-winning singer was forced to cancel her remaining two concerts at Wembley Stadium, on doctors’ orders, and told her fans that she was “devastated” that she couldn’t perform for them…
“To say I’m heartbroken would be an understatement,” she Tweeted.
“The last two nights at Wembley have been the biggest and best shows of my life. To come home to such a response after so long away doing something I never thought I could pull off but did has blown me away.
“However, I’ve struggled vocally on both nights. I had to push a lot harder than I normally do. I’m already maxed out on steroids and aids for my voice.

“I’ve considered doing Saturday night’s show but it’s highly unlikely I’d even make it through the set and I simply can’t crumble in front of you all and walk out on you in that way.
“I’m so desperate to do them that I’ve even considered miming, just to be in front of you and be with you. But I’ve never done it and I cannot in a million years do that to you. It wouldn’t be the real me up there.”
“To not complete this milestone in my career is something I’m struggling to get my head around and I wish that I wasn’t having to write this.
“It’s something I’m really struggling to come to terms with. It’s as if my whole career has been building up to these four shows.”
Adele’s fans were keen to show their love and respect for the singer, which is why they still turned up and performed her songs in her honour.
‘Sing For Adele’ was trending on social media over the weekend, with fans encouraging each other to gather at Wembley and sing for her.
“Adele can’t sing for us, but we can sing for her,” the message read on Facebook.
“It’s fair to say that Adele could do with a pick me up right now”
“It’s fair to say that Adele could do with a pick me up right now. She’s just had to cancel her last two shows because of damage to her vocal chords, and she’s absolutely gutted. I think we should send her some love.”
It’s safe to say that Adele has some of the best fans in the world!
Get well soon, Adele!
