Bill Cosby Seeking Plea Deal in Hopes of Avoiding Trial

According to a source close to Bill, the actor is hoping to get a plea deal that will help him avoid prison time for his alleged sex crimes. Cosby has been accused of drugging and raping over 50 women. In 2005, he even admitted to giving women drugs before engaging in sexual intercourse with them.

A source close to the Cosby family told The New York Post that Bill and his family are “adamant that Bill won’t be able to convince a jury to let him off.” The Cosbys believe that Bill will be eligible for a sentence of just probation.

The family is hoping that the district attorney will take Bill’s age, medical condition, and the fact that his career is over into consideration. Nevertheless, he believes that the prosecution is racially motivated, and that America wouldn’t stand for it if Fred MacMurray or Robert Young were ever accused of the same crimes.

Bill is currently free on a million dollar bail, after being accused of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, a former Temple University student. He had previously admitted to giving Andrea Quaaludes and then putting his hands down her pants.

He said that “I don’t hear her say anything, anything. And I don’t feel her say anything. And so, I continue and I go into the area that is somewhere between permission and rejection. I am not stopped.”

Cosby has since maintained his innocence and has tried to throw out the case numerous times, often noting that District Attorney Bruce Castor made him a promise not to indict him if he agreed to do the deposition.
