Blake Lively recalls “terrifying” make-up artist sexual harassment

It’s been a hard week, filled with disturbing stories from high profile actresses about sexual abuse from producer Harvey Weinstein.

And it isn’t ending there, as Blake Lively has opened up about a sexual harassment experience of her own, this time involving a make-up artist.

Although Blake Lively hasn’t told of any Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse incidents, the former Gossip Girl actress did feel this was the right time to open up about a very terrifying harassment case involving a make-up artist of an unnamed film.

“He was saying things inappropriately, insisting on putting my lipstick on with his finger,” she told The Los Angeles Times.

“I was sleeping one night on location and I woke up and he was filming me. I was clothed, but it was a very voyeuristic, terrifying thing to do.”

Unlike some of the victims of the Harvey Weinstein allegations, Blake did immediately tell the producers – although nothing was done about it and they continued to work with the make-up artist.

“After three months of complaining, they called me into my trailer and said, ‘We need to talk to you.’ I thought, ‘Well finally, they’re going to do something about this man who I had to have touching me all day,’” she added.

“And they said, ‘Your dog left a poop behind the toilet in your dressing room and our janitor had to pick it up. And this is very serious and we can’t have this happen again.’”

The make-up artist was eventually fired after Blake Lively got her lawyers involved – but not before walking away with a good reference…

“Our unit production manager wrote him a letter of recommendation because nobody wanted there to be bad blood,” she said.

Thank you Blake Lively for coming forward – if only the make-up artist in question would be named and shamed…
