Fifth Harmony recently announced via Twitter that one of the members, singer Camila Cabello, just left the group. The famous group noted that “After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to Leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well.” After four and a half years, you would think that Camila herself would break the news, and not her representatives…
Nevertheless, the remaining four members (Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, Normani Kordei, and Lauren Jauregui) have decided to move forward as a group. These four member wrote that “we are excited for our future, and we can’t wait for what the new year brings. Harmonizers, we are in this together. We love you with all of our hearts.”
Just several days ago, on December 9, Normani Kordei announced that the group was going to release another album in 2017. Although fans were expecting all five members to work on the album, it will probably still be an amazing body of work.
Insiders suggest that there has been tension between Camila and other group members for some time. It’s worth noting that December 18 marked the day when Cabello’s contractual obligations ended, giving her the option to leave the group, which she decided to do almost immediately.
The group formed in 2012, during the second season of the American version of The X Factor. Since then, they managed to release two albums – one in 2015, and the other in 2016.
