St. Charles County Policy Department has just reported that rock ‘n’ roll legend Chuck Berry has died at the age of 90. The police responded to a medical emergency today. Upon entering the home from which they were called, they spoke with a caretaker who was caring for an unresponsive man.
It was later confirmed that the man in question was in fact Chuck Berry, legendary musician and one of the pioneers of rock ‘n’ roll. Unfortunately, he could not be revived and was pronounced dead at his home.
In a Facebook post, the St. Charles County Police Department issued a statement confirming the death of the legendary musician. “The St. Charles County Police Department sadly confirms the death of Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr., better known as legendary musician Chuck Berry. The family requests privacy during this time of bereavement,” wrote the police department.
With hits like Roll Over Beethoven, Never Can Tell, and Johnny B. Goode, Chuck was without a doubt one of the most notable rock ‘n’ roll musicians of all time. He influenced a lot of artists, including Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Who, Rolling Stones, and Pink Floyd. Berry was also one of the first musicians to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
