Despite initially being willing to go to court with her ex-fiancé, Ciara is now ready to put the past behind her. The famous singer sued her ex-fiancé, Future, a couple of times. At one point, Future even countersued Ciara, but immediately dropped his suit once he received joint custody of his and Ciara’s child.
Now, TMZ reports that Ciara has decided to drop the final lawsuit that she had against Future. It’s worth noting that the case has been dismissed “with prejudice,” which means that the singer won’t be able to ever refile it.
It seems that the two superstars have finally managed to reach an agreement when it comes to the custody of their 2-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn. Even though they went through a considerable amount of drama in the public eye, it looks like both of them have moved on.
Ciara found love and is expecting her first child with Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson, while Future is currently on a mission to put out as much quality music as possible and is currently more popular than he has ever been. On New Year’s Eve, Ciara reflected on her wedding day with Russell in a tweet. “Truly one of the best moments in my life! I married the love of my life. My god is an awesome God. Grateful. Thank you 2016,” she wrote on the popular social media platform.
Meanwhile, Future commented on how he feels about Ciara’s relationship with Russell in a Rolling Stone interview last year. “Her being successful, her being happy, helps me. I’m attached to you. If you’re happy, I’m happy. You’re connected for life. I don’t want you to go through this sh*t and for it to come back on my son, my kid. I want you to be in the best situation,” Future shared with Rolling Stone.
