Donald Trump on THAT Oscars blunder: “It was a little sad”

You know it’s all gone wrong when even Donald Trump starts feeling sorry for you.

Although the President of the United States of America never responded to the Tweet that was sent to him by host Jimmy Kimmel live on the Oscars stage, he does have his own theories on what went wrong on the biggest night in Hollywood…

We are of course referring to what will forever be known as #EnvelopeGate, where Best Picture presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway were given the wrong envelope, and announced La La Land as the winner instead of Moonlight.

“I think they were focused so hard on politics that they didn’t get the act together at the end,” Donald Trump said in an interview with Breitbart.

“It was a little sad. It took away from the glamour of the Oscars. It didn’t feel like a very glamorous evening.

“I’ve been to the Oscars. There was something very special missing, and then to end that way was sad.”

Do you think Trump has a point? Was everyone too fixated on slamming the new President to make sure the Academy Awards ran smoothly?

Well, it’s certainly a possibility… let us know your thoughts!
