Despite each of these three superstars being nominated in major categories, they have decided to skip the 2017 Grammy Awards. TMZ was the first to report the news that these musicians won’t be attending the ceremony, which is going to be held on February 12.

According to TMZ, Bieber has decided to ditch the award ceremony because he “doesn’t thing the Grammys are relevant or representative, especially when it comes to young singers.” Justin has been nominated for four awards, including Album of the Year.

Drake won’t be attending due to the fact that he will be on the European leg of his tour. The famous rapper has been nominated for eight Grammys, but he won’t be there because he has a show in Manchester, England on the same night as the ceremony.

As far as Kanye goes, TMZ has reported that the rapper is “taking some personal time at the top of this year to just chill and decompress.” However, it’s also worth mentioning that Mr. West previously vowed to boycott the award ceremony if Frank Ocean’s album Blonde wasn’t nominated. As it turned out, Frank didn’t submit his album for consideration because he thinks that the Grammys don’t “represent young, black artists.” So, there’s a chance that Kanye is staying true to his word.
