In a recent interview with Shape magazine, Eva Mendes revealed that she has a very unique diet. Namely, she eats the same lunch and dinner every single day. The reason why she is extremely disciplined when it comes to her diet is because she says that she doesn’t get emotionally connected to food.
“I usually start my day with eggs. I think they’re like magic – you can do so much with them. I mostly keep it simple and have scrambled eggs and a piece of Ezekiel toast for breakfast. For lunch, I usually have salmon and rice or quinoa, and I try to include a salad. I’ll eat the same thing for dinner. I’m a creature of habit in that way,” she noted in the interview.
She also revealed that she doesn’t “get bored with food.” Instead, she tries to think about it as fuel for her body. However, she did share that she is “looking forward to the time when dinner becomes a sit-down situation again. Right now I’m in survival mode with two babies, eating on the go.”
When asked about her habits when it comes to working out, Eva revealed that it has been a bit challenging to get back in shape following the birth of her second daughter. Nevertheless, she also said that it’s not as hard as she thought it would be, considering that she is on the move all day.
