Glee star Mark Salling dies in suspected suicide

Sad news this morning, as former Glee star Mark Salling has been found dead near his Los Angeles home.

It’s believed that the 35 year old actor committed suicide, as his body was found in the San Fernando Valley near his home in Sunland, California.

His death was confirmed by his lawyer, Michael Proctor.

“I can confirm that Mark Salling passed away early this morning,” Proctor said in a statement.

“Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgement.

“He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother. The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected.”

Mark Salling rose to fame by playing footballer Noah “Puck” Puckerman on Glee between 2009 and 2015.

He was arrested on child pornography charges back in 2015 after police raided his home, and pled guilty last month.

He was out on bail while awaiting sentencing, which was due to happen on March 7. He was expected to serve four to seven years in prison.

RIP, Mark Salling.
