“House of Horrors” – Twitter slams Melania Trump’s White House decorations

Doesn’t look like everyone is a fan of the way the Trumps have decorated the White House for their first Christmas in their new home.

While many people thought that it was decorated rather nicely – us included, we must admit – some social media users were extremely disappointed, claiming that the hallway looked more like a House of Horrors than a Christmas winter wonderland.

This prompted many Twitter users to get creative and experiment with Photoshop by superimposing famous characters from scary films into the official Christmas picture.

@ParkerMolloy

“I wasn’t sure whether Melania’s White House Christmas decorations were more Pan’s Labyrinth, It, or Stranger Things, so I combined them all.”

@HubertVigilla

“Melania Trump’s White House Christmas decor looks awesome if you add the Babadook”

@MrFilmkritik

“The Christmas theme of the White House this year: “I wish I were dead.””

@wendybyrdm

“Are Christmas decorations supposed to give you creeping anxiety and a feeling of lingering dread?”

@erikaheidewald

“Melania’s White House Hall of Christmas Horrors is the only thing she’s ever done that I like”

However, hallway aside, the rest of the White House decorations were met with far more positive reactions….

@OmegaMan58

“It is so wonderful to hear MERRY CHRISTMAS from the White House once again….It looks so beautiful, thank you for all you have done.”
