Jeremy Piven has just issued a statement regarding the sexual assault allegations made by actress and former reality TV star Ariane Bellamar on Monday.
Ariane claimed that he sexually harassed her on the Entourage set, among other things – all of which Jeremy Piven denies…
“I unequivocally deny the appalling allegations being peddled about me. It did not happen,” he told E! News in a statement.
“It takes a great deal of courage for victims to come forward with their histories, and my hope is that the allegations about me that didn’t happen, do not detract from stories that should be heard.”
Ariane Bellamar made the accusations on Twitter on Monday, writing:
“Hey @jeremypiven! ‘Member when you cornered me in your trailer on the #Entourage set?
“‘Member grabbing my boobies on the [couch emoji] without asking??
“‘Member when I tried to leave; you grabbed me by the ass, looked at yourself in the mirror, & said what a ‘beautiful couple’ we made? #MeToo.”
She also claimed that he sent her “abusive” and “explicit” messages, and that HBO has footage of them together to prove that she is telling the truth.
HBO, however, is insisting that this is the first time they are hearing of these allegations…
“Today, via the press reports, is the first we are hearing about Ariane Bellamar’s allegations concerning Jeremy Piven,” a statement read.
“Everyone at HBO and our productions is aware that zero tolerance for sexual harassment is our policy.
“Anyone experiencing an unsafe working environment has several avenues for making complaints that we take very seriously.”
We’re not entirely sure who to believe right now, but we assume we will hear more about this in the next few days.
Who do you think is telling the truth here?
