Ivanka Trump slammed for wearing $3,000 Roland Mouret dress! Here’s why:

From one Trump lady’s wardrobe to another…

Ivanka Trump has come under fire this morning, for wearing a dress that essentially goes against everything her father, the President of the United States of America, stands for.

During his first speech to Congress, one of the key issues he addressed was buying and hiring American, in order to “make America great again” as per his campaign promise.

He even reiterated it on his official @POTUS Twitter account:

“The time has come for a new program of national rebuilding that will be guided by two core principles: Buy American, and Hire American!”

Fair enough.  The trouble is, that his daughter Ivanka Trump wore a $2995 Roland Mouret dress to the event (a stunning one, we have to admit… we don’t blame her for wanting to wear it) and Roland Mouret is French. In other words, not American at all.

Let’s just recap what the President said at the speech:

“We must create a level playing field for American companies and our workers. Have to do it.

“Currently, when we ship products out of America, many other countries make us pay very high tariffs and taxes, but when foreign companies ship their products into America we charge them nothing or almost nothing.

“To launch our national rebuilding, I will be asking Congress to approve legislation that produces a $1 trillion investment in infrastructure of the United States, financed through both public and private capital, creating millions of new jobs.

“This effort will be guided by two core principles. Buy American and hire American.”

We think it might be time for Ivanka Trump, and the rest of the high profile family, to practice what they preach. That way, they can avoid social media backlash, such as the Twitter comments below:

“Dad said Buy American so Ivanka wore a French designer’s dress #hypocrisy”

“Trump says “buy American, hire American”, you first Donald & Ivanka! @POTUS @realDonaldTrump @IvankaTrump”
