Ivanka Trump will be taken to court for Aquazurra plagiarism lawsuit

The Trump women are no strangers to the courtroom…

Ivanka Trump will have to testify in court later this year, after being accused of copying Aquazurra’s designs for her own shoe collection.

The Italian shoe label has accused the First Daughter of copying its famous ‘Wild Things’ shoe, and producing a cheaper version – the ‘Hettie’ shoe – for her own fashion line.

According to The Independent, the ‘plagiarised’ shoe in question is a red suede stiletto with a fringed strap and a tie that wraps around the ankle – one which Ivanka Trump has produced a strikingly similar version of.

Aquazurra reportedly claims that Ivanka Trump’s Trump’s ‘Hettie’ shoe has too many similarities to its ‘Wild Things’ shoe to be an innocent coincidence.

Ivanka Trump’s lawyers, however, are saying that Aquazurra’s shoe isn’t distinctive enough, and the lawsuit is nothing but a “publicity stunt”…

We’ll have to wait and see how things unfold in the courtroom in a few months. See above for a direct comparison of the two shoes in question.

The case was first filed in June 2016, and it’s believed that the deposition will take place around October in Washington.
