Jennifer Lawrence on Harvey Weinstein: “He is just that horrible ass boil that does not go away.”

Earlier this week, Harvey Weinstein’s lawyers dropped big names such as Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lawrence in their defence of the disgraced producer… and as you can imagine, Jennifer Lawrence was less than pleased about it.

“He is just that horrible ass boil that does not go away,” the Oscar-winning actress said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. ”

“You pop the ass boil… He’s just the worst.

“When is it going to end? Like, in the middle of the night I had to come out with a statement in London and I was like, ‘It’s still not over? His awfulness is still happening?'”

“When is it going to end? Like, in the middle of the night I had to come out with a statement in London and I was like, ‘It’s still not over? His awfulness is still happening?'”

Despite never coming forward with an accusation of sexual assault (something Harvey Weinstein’s people have used in his defence) J-Law was forced to release a statement to show that she was not siding with Harvey Weinstein…

“For the record, while I was not victimised personally by Harvey Weinstein, I stand behind the women who have survived his terrible abuse,” she said in the statement.

“I applaud them in using all means necessary to bring him to justice whether through criminal or civil actions. Time’s up.”

Well said, Jen!

Meryl Streep has also spoken out, disgusted that her name and previous comments have been used for this purpose…

“Harvey Weinstein’s attorneys use of my (true) statement—that he was not sexually transgressive or physically abusive in our business relationship—as evidence that he was not abusive with many OTHER women is pathetic and exploitive,” she began.

“The criminal actions he is accused of conducting on the bodies of these women are his responsibility, and if there is any justice left in the system he will pay for them—regardless of how many good movies, made by many good people, Harvey was lucky enough to have acquired or financed.”

Harvey Weinstein has indirectly apologised to both women for using their names.
