‘N Sync was an extremely successful boy band that split up back in 2002. The group consisted of Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Justin Timberlake. Although they initially announced that they were going on a temporary hiatus back in 2002, Lance Bass later confirmed that the group definitely broke up.
The fans never really got a proper answer as to why the members of the group decided to go their separate ways. Now, 15 years later, Justin Timberlake has finally decided to share why he chose to leave the group.
“I was growing out of it. I felt like I cared more about the music than some of the other people in the group. And I felt like I had other music I wanted to make and that I needed to follow my heart,” said Justin in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Apart from becoming an extremely popular solo artist, Timberlake also became a successful actor, appearing in movies like Friends With Benefits, The Social Network, and Alpha Dog. “I want to do both things. I really do idolize the golden era of Hollywood, when actors were required to sing and move. But I’m just following my gut in the decisions that I make about what I’m going to do next. I’m mostly just glad this is all working out because I really can’t do anything else,” Justin told The Hollywood Reporter.
