Kanye West explains why he went to visit Donald Trump

A lot of things have left us scratching our heads this year, and yesterday’s events are certainly up there.

This might perhaps be the most bizarre news of the week/month, but yesterday Kanye West decided not to make his health a priority, but to instead go and visit President-elect Donald Trump in New York.

The rapper and fashion designer allegedly went against wife Kim Kardashian’s wishes and made a beeline for Trump Towers once he arrived in the Big Apple. But the big question is… WHAT was he doing there? And more importantly, WHY?

Well, wonder no more, as Kanye took to Twitter (obviously) to explain his actions…

“I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” he wrote.

“These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculum, and violence in Chicago.

“I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.”

It’s no secret that Kanye West is a Trump supporter; he made it pretty clear during one of his on-stage rants that he would have voted for him had he been available on polling day.

His series of Tweets are actually quite interesting. If the case really is as simple as Kanye has put it, then we think that’s a pretty selfless thing to do. Then again, this is Kanye West we are talking about, so things might not be exactly as they seem…

His cryptic “2024” Tweet more than proves this. Does this mean he is contemplating running for President in 2024?

We’ll have to wait this one out, but this year has taught us more than ever that anything is possible…
