Don’t ever let it be said that Katy Perry doesn’t speak her mind.
And she certainly told James Corden, and the rest of the world, what she thought about her ongoing feud with Taylor Swift when she appeared on Carpool Karaoke as part of The Late Late Show Primetime Special last night.
Spoiler alert: she didn’t disappoint!
It’s believed that Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood was about Katy Perry, while KP’s brand new single, Swish Swish is reportedly her way of hitting back at Taylor.
So what does Katy Perry make of all of this?
“There’s a situation,” Katy Perry said.
“Honestly, it’s really like she started it, and it’s time for her to finish it.
“I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn’t speak to me. I do the right thing any time that it feels like a fumble.
“It was a full shutdown and then she writes a song about me, and I’m like, OK, cool, cool, cool, that’s how you want to deal with it? Karma!
“But what I want to say is that I’m ready for that BS to be done. Now, there is the law of cause and effect. You do something, there’s going to be a reaction, and trust me daddy, there’s going to be a reaction. It’s all about karma, right?
“I think personally that women together, not divided, and none of this petty bulls–t, women together will heal the world.”
Well – we wanted her to speak out, and she certainly didn’t hold back!
Despite everything though, Katy Perry confirmed that she would “100%” put everything in the past and, as James Corden phrased it, take the beef off the grill if she got an apologetic text from Taylor Swift.
So here’s hoping!
