Kim Kardashian apologises for angering fans with her “naïve” Jeffree Star comments

Another day, another Kardashian drama.

Kim Kardashian has faced huge backlash from her fans for defending make-up artist and beauty vlogger Jeffree Star.

Kim’s fans originally came to her defence after Jeffree Star was less than complimentary about her powder contour set, and it wasn’t long until things got out of control on social media, and he was widely criticised for racist comments he made in the past.

Despite him criticising her palette, Kim K came to his defence by telling fans to “get off his a**” and urged them to stop “being so petty bringing up things in his past.”

Naturally this didn’t sit well with Kim’s fans, or anyone who disagreed with his initial racist comments, so she has issued an apology saying she had “no right” to speak out…

“I really wanted to apologise to you guys and my fans for defending a situation I really didn’t know enough about,” she said in a Snapchat video.

“I feel a bit naïve and I do want to really apologise for me feeling I had the right to say ‘get over it’ in a situation that involves racism.”

“From the bottom of my heart I’ve always been about positivity. My whole thing was I don’t want to see negativity on my time line so let’s move forward but I realise I was a bit naïve in saying that.”

We definitely understand where Kim was coming from, and why she felt the need to speak out, but applaud her for addressing the issue quickly and apologising.

Do you think her comments were naïve and insensitive?
