It was recently revealed on her official Facebook page that the legendary singer Loretta Lynn has been hospitalized in Tennessee after suffering a stroke.
“American country music legend Loretta Lynn was admitted into a hospital in Nashville last night after she suffered a stroke at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. She is currently under medical care and is responsive and expected to make a full recovery,” read the statement on her Facebook page.
Although she is expected to make a full recovery, it was revealed that the doctors advised her “to stay off the road while she is recuperating. Regrettably, upcoming scheduled shows will be postponed.” Although she is 85 years old, Loretta still records and tours regularly. However, she was forced to cancel several shows last year as well, after injuring herself in a fall.
Loretta is the most awarded female country recording artist and has released a lot of albums throughout her career. Her upcoming album “Wouldn’t It Be Great” is scheduled to be released on August 18.
