“Love hurts, but you have to pull through” – Bella Hadid breaks her silence on The Weeknd

You’ve got to hand it to Bella Hadid… she seemed to handle  her breakup with The Weeknd relatively well. “Seemed” being the key word, here…

The model really opened up in an emotional interview with Teen Vogue, and said that she may have put on a brave face when she shared the stage with him at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – which took place just three weeks after they broke up – but on the inside it was a totally different story.

“It was my first breakup, and so public,” she told the magazine.

“As an outsider, you might think I handled it so well, but it’s always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily. It’ll be hard for a while.

“Love hurts, but you have to pull through.”

Oh Bella – can we just hug you now?

Despite everything that’s gone on, the model still doesn’t have a bad word to say about him.

We’ll always remember how she chose to instantly unfollow Selena Gomez on Instagram when the pair were first spotted together, but didn’t do the same for The Weeknd…

“I’ll always respect him, and I’ll always love him,” she said.

“Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you’ve fought so hard to build.”

How mature! Certainly more mature than any 20-year-old we know…
