Exciting news for Melania Trump, as she will soon be embarking on her very first solo trip abroad.
And word on the street is that she will be hanging out with none other than Prince Harry! Pretty cool, right?
According to official White House sources, Melania Trump will be following First Lady tradition and leading the United States delegation at the Invictus Games in Toronto.
The Invictus Games were founded by Prince Harry for wounded servicemen and women back in 2014, and will start on September 23.
This year, there will be over 550 competitors in sports such as archery, indoor rowing, powerlifting, sitting volleyball, swimming, and wheelchair basketball, tennis and rugby.
It’s thought that the First Lady will get to meet and spend time with Prince Harry, and maybe even his girlfriend Meghan Markle as she films Suits in Toronto.
All in all, it sounds like she’s pretty excited about every aspect of her upcoming trip…
“I was heartened by the great success of the inaugural Invictus Games that took place in London in 2015, and the second games in Orlando, Florida last year,” Melania said in a statement.
“In just two short years, the Invictus Games have allowed thousands of injured and wounded servicemen and women from many different countries to participate in adaptive sports competitions – something that should be lauded and supported worldwide.
“I am honoured by the opportunity to represent our country at this year’s games.”
We’re looking forward to seeing how she handles her first solo trip.
