While Ivanka Trump may have had better days, there’s good news for Melania Trump!
The First Lady has officially won her lawsuit against blogger Webster Tarpley, who referred to her as a “high-class escort” in one of his articles.
He has been forced to make a public apology for his claims, while Melania Trump will receive an undisclosed “substantial sum” of money for the ordeal.
Melania Trump’s legal team have released the statement of apology from Webster Tarpley, which you can see below:
“I posted an article on August 2, 2016 about Melania Trump that was replete with false and defamatory statements about her.
“I had no legitimate factual basis to make these false statements and I fully retract them. I acknowledge that these false statements were very harmful and hurtful to Mrs Trump and her family, and therefore I sincerely apologise to Mrs Trump, her son, her husband and her parents for making these false statements.”
It’s not all over for Melania Trump though, as the case against The Daily Mail – who made similar accusations – is still ongoing.
It doesn’t look like that will be resolved for a while though, but as always, we’ll keep you posted.
