Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has died, aged 91

Sad news this morning, as we reveal that Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has died, aged 91. The publishing mogul died peacefully of natural causes in his home.

He leaves behind his third wife Crystal Harris (pictured), and children Cooper, Christie, Marston and David.

“My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights and sexual freedom,” his son, Cooper Hefner, said in a statement.

“He defined a lifestyle and ethos that lie at the heart of the Playboy brand, one of the most recognisable and enduring in history.”

He’s not wrong! Hugh Hefner founded Playboy back in 1953, with the magazine holding the title of the best-selling men’s magazine in the world for many, many years.

Hef’s former girlfriend and former star of The Girls Next Door, Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett, also spoke out following the sad news…

“Hef changed my life,” she told E! News.

“He made me the person I am today.  I couldn’t be more thankful for our friendship and our time together.

“I will miss him so much but he will be in my heart forever.”

RIP Hugh Hefner – you will never be forgotten!
