“Please just apologise” – James Franco sexual assault accusers speak out in first TV interview!

Some of the women who have accused James Franco of sexual abuse have spoken out in their first televised interview since making their allegations via Twitter a few weeks ago.

Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Violet Paley came together to grant Amy Robach from ABC’s Good Morning America a tell-all interview.

26-year-old Sarah Tither-Kaplan spoke of the abuse she faced while part of James Franco’s Studio 4 film school…

“James abused his power by exploiting the non-celebrity women that he worked with under the guise of giving them opportunities,” she began.

“James abused his power by exploiting the non-celebrity women that he worked with under the guise of giving them opportunities.”

“When I was a student in the master class he taught in LA, called ‘Sex Scenes’, there were a lot of scenes that were added after we were given the originals scripts that I wished I had more time to consider them or consider the artistic value of them.

“A lot of times they seemed gratuitous and exploitative.”

She was then asked how his actions compare to others in the industry who have also been faced with similar allegations…

“James is absolutely not a Harvey Weinstein, he is not an unfeeling monster who has no sense of reality,.

“He created exploitative environments for non-celebrity women on his sets, but I also think James is a talented and valuable person.

“It’s a pyramid, and at the top is rape and sexual violence, and at the bottom are the other abuses of power that when they continue to happen over and over, build to create a culture that allows the most heinous examples of sexual violence and misogyny and discrimination to happen.

“So if we allow any of them, we allow all of them.”

23-year-old Violet Paley’s story is a little different, as she and James Franco reportedly used to date prior to the sexual assault, although their romantic involvement also allegedly continued after it.

In her interview, she spoke of being pressured into oral sex…

“He kinda pushed my head down and was saying, ‘come on’.

“I’m regretful, I was young, he was a celebrity I looked up to.”

Both women hope that James Franco will apologise for his actions, and do hit bit to create good opportunities for women in film…

“Give opportunities to women that are real and valuable and actually give them career advancement,” Tither-Kaplan said.

“Please just apologise,” Paley concluded.

We wonder if James Franco’s people will respond to this interview.

We also wonder if some of the other accusers will have their say on television too…
