Ryan Reynolds shares the sweetest message about Blake Lively at the Met Gala

Just when you thought Rihanna and Katy Perry’s dramatic avant-garde looks, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd’s first red carpet appearance as a couple, and Bella Hadid’s revenge outfit were the biggest talking points of last night’s Met Gala, Ryan Reynolds comes along to steal all of the attention.

Typical! Oh, and before we forget, can we just address the expert colour matching of Ryan’s bow tie and the bottom of his wife’s dress? How adorable are these guys!

As well as all of the above being hot talking points in the office this morning, we can’t ignore the sweet message that Ryan Reynolds left for his wife Blake Lively last night.

We’re used to hearing these two lovebirds gush about each other, but this was something extra special…

The message was found on the Humans of New York Instagram page, under a stunning picture of Ryan and Blake inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

“She always responds with empathy,” the caption said, which came directly from Ryan Reynolds himself.

“She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy.

“She’ll take the time to imagine what happened to a person when they were five or six years old. And she’s made me a more empathetic person.

“I had a very fractured relationship with my father. Before he died, she made me remember things I didn’t want to remember. She made me remember the good times.”

Awww! And we thought he/they couldn’t get any cuter…
