Steve Bannon Declares War on Mainstream Media: “You Are The Opposition; Keep Your Mouth Shut”

Fake News Media, You Have No Power Here!

Steve Bannon is Donald Trump’s Chief White House Strategist, a former Goldman Sachs investment banker and founding member of Breitbart News. During his yesterday’s interview for the New York Times, he basically eviscerated the mainstream media, commenting about their incredibly biased coverage of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Bannon emphasized mainstream’s media’s disconnection from the real world/the everyday blue-collar American, saying that, let me quote the man himself:

“The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for awhile. I want you to quote this. The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”

Steve added:

“The elite media got it dead wrong, 100 percent dead wrong, [about Trump’s election triumph] a humiliating defeat that they will never wash away, that will always be there.”

Just to give you a recent example of fake news from the mainstream media, today’s headlines were all boasting a wave of mass resignations at the State Department by the entire senior level of management officials, calling their “resignation” to be a formidable act of protest against Donald Trump. In reality, those people were actually fired.

Steve Bannon also said about corporate mainstream media during his telephone interview:

“You’re the opposition party. Not the Democratic Party. You’re the opposition party. The media’s the opposition party.”

After being asked about Sean Spicer’s alleged lost credibility with the press core after his alternate view with regard to crowd sizes at Trump’s inauguration, Steve Bannon minced no words:

“Are you kidding me? We think that’s a badge of honor. ‘Questioning his integrity’ — are you kidding me? The media has zero integrity, zero intelligence, and no hard work.”
