After a 14-year hiatus, famous TV series “The X-Files” finally returned to Fox in January 2016 for another season. It was well received by both fans and critics. However, since it had only six episodes, it left people wanting more. For the last year, the creators of the show and TV executives were relatively quiet about if and when we were going to get another season of “The X-Files.”
According to Fox entertainment president David Madden, we’re probably going to see another season of the hit TV show. Not only that, but it will probably have more episodes than the previous season. “A lot of conversations going on, these conversations are complex but we hope to be able to announce something about that shortly,” said Madden when asked about the status of the TV series.
When asked about how many episodes there were going to be in the following season, Madden replied by saying that it definitely won’t be 22, but that their goal is for it to have more than six. Additionally, David said that they’re hoping to get it on the air in 2018, but are still unsure whether it will premiere in January or not.
The finale of the last season ended with a cliffhanger, so it would only be right for the fans to get at least one more season.
