Gigi Hadid’s impersonations have got her in a lot of trouble lately.
Her Melania Trump impersonation from the AMAs was not well received, and now it looks like she has landed herself in hot water once again… this time thanks to an Asian impression. Oh, Gigi…
Sister Bella Hadid posted a video of the 21-year-old model holding a Buddha cookie up to her face, and squinting her eyes to try and copy it.
Obviously, this didn’t go down well, and she has since been criticised for her “racist” behaviour.
The video was quickly taken down, but that didn’t stop the allegations flooding in on Twitter and Instagram.
Boyfriend Zayn Malik (who is of Pakistani descent) came to the rescue rather rapidly, and reassured fans and haters alike that Gigi Hadid is in no way racist…
“Trust me… She likes Asians ;),” he wrote, in response to a Twitter user who asked how he felt about Gigi’s actions.
Well… we think that’s silenced the critics, don’t you?
Where do you stand on the racist/not racist issue?
