We love Zoe Saldana and pretty much everything she’s about.
But not everyone seems to share our opinion, as she got into a bit of trouble over the weekend for saying that Donald Trump only won the election because he was “bullied by Hollywood”.
Care to elaborate on that one, Zoe?
“We got cocky and became arrogant and we also became bullies,” Zoe Saldana said to AFP.
“We were trying to single out a man for all these things he was doing wrong… and that created empathy in a big group of people in America that felt bad for him and that are believing in his promises.”
An interesting opinion which, naturally, has been met with some criticism. Here are just a few of the remarks she received on good old Twitter:
@zoesaldana – Let’s not forget Trump bullied a disabled reporter for the whole world to view! You’ve got no play here!
@zoesaldana Please take several seats with your Hollywood bullies crap. The rise of this despot is way bigger than you & your famous friends
“I wouldn’t care about Zoe Saldana telling us to stop bullying Trump if the man wasn’t a huge buly himself.”
Zoe Saldana: If an individual does wrong, do you not call that individual out &/or do you call out the people who called out the wrongdoing?
Hmm… where do you stand on her comments?
