A Week in Trump: Surprise! Doing what he said he would

During his first epic week in office, Donald Trump was doing exactly what he said he would if elected President, thus shocking mainstream media pundits and those who doubted Trump’s sincerity and determination to make America great again, totally forgetting that he’s not a life-long politician like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton et al.

It’s quite shocking for an elected official to deliver like Donald Trump did during his first seven days as US President. Even the language remained the same, as The Donald did not adapt his style as POTUS.

The first week of the AT era (After Trump) begun with The Donald signing an executive order for repealing the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), followed by the termination of the TPP, the re-negotiation of NAFTA and then another one regarding building a wall at the US-Mexico border.

Basically, the bulk of Trump’s campaign promises were taken care of as soon as he entered the White House, at least for his part, including a temporary ban on people coming in the US from 7 (or more) Muslim nations, a halt on the importing of refugees and so on and so forth.

Obviously, Donald Trump continued with his late night Twitter session, getting mainstream media to the point of desperation as they found that they can’t control the narrative anymore with the President twitting his thoughts/views directly to the American people. However, they’re still trying, but that’s another matter all together.

Trump’s detractors were proven wrong again, as President Trump remained the same guy from the election campaign once he made it to the White House, and the realities of governing did not changed him a bit.

His hard stance regarding immigration, trade policies, US’s role in the world, globalism, Islam, jobs, borders, big government and so on and so forth is the same, as nothing changed once The Donald got upped in the ranks.

Thursday, the President told the Republicans:

“Enough all talk, no action. We have to deliver. This is our chance to achieve great and lasting change for our beloved nation.”

There are many things to do in the following days and weeks and the President will require congressional approval to fund the wall etc, but this is only the beginning. Let’s close with Charlie Black’s words (a GOP veteran operative) on Thursday:

“Democrats should’ve been sweating this on Nov. 9. They should’ve known he’d follow through on the things he said. Some things will require congressional action or need to go through the regulatory process for what he can’t do on his own. But if he can do it on his own, you can bet he’ll do it.”

And that’s the real problem for the left, Trump delivering on his promises and making America Great Again!
