CIA Director Attacks WikiLeaks, Calls It A Hostile Intelligence Service

CIA’s director Pompeo attacked WikiLeaks on Thursday during a press conference, marking a weird and unexpected 180 turn, compared to his attitude towards the world famous whistle blower organization from July of 2016.

Mike Pompeo shocked a lot of people during his first public appearance since he was offered the top post in the CIA by Donald Trump by calling WikiLeaks a non state hostile intelligence service, which is supported by state actors like (Chuck Schumer approves) Russia, of course.

Just a few months ago, then candidate Donald Trump, i.e. Pompeo’s boss said that he loved WikiLeaks.

What changed in 6 months?

Well, Pompeo claimed in face of a stunned audience in Washington DC (a so called think tank of sorts) that, let me quote:

“It’s time to call out WikiLeaks for what it really is: A non-state hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors like Russia.

WikiLeaks walks like a hostile intelligence service and talks like a hostile intelligence service,”

And this happens just one day after President Trump reversed some of his core stances with regard to a broad range of (campaign) policies, including interest rates, NATO, Janet Yellen and China.

Pompeo claimed that Russian intelligence service GRU had used WikiLeaks for disseminating hacked material during the presidential campaign from 2016. He also went after Edward Snowden and Julian Assange, saying that their disclosures have brought great harm upon US’ national security.

Why? Well, it’s pretty simple. As the  AP reported recently:

Last month, WikiLeaks released nearly 8,000 documents that it says reveals secrets about the CIA’s cyberespionage tools for breaking into targeted computers, cellphones and even smart TVs.

Back in 2016, the same Pompeo was very happy with WikiLeaks exposing the corruption in the Democratic party via DNC’s leaked emails:

Today, CIA’s boss called Assange a fraud and a coward hiding behind a screen. Can you sense the irony? Without WikiLeaks, it’s very probable that Donald Trump would not be in the White House right now.

Also, unlike the CIA and other intel agencies, Assange has a 100% record for accuracy (so far) which is a helluva lot better than the US Gummint‘.
