Country singer Neal McCoy just released a new single, hilariously titled “Take a knee, My ass”. It’s obvious that Neal McCoy’s latest song takes aim at the now-famous NFL protesters, who are kneeling while the national anthem is played.
If country music is not your cup of tea, you should know that Neal McCoy is a nineties county music star and he’s now making a comeback with his new single “Take a Knee, My Ass (I Won’t Take a Knee)” that debuted on Facebook Live. Speaking about social media making traditional media irrelevant, this one is as good as it gets.
Neal McCoy explained what he’s all about, but let me quote:
“I’ve been on 15 USO tours. I’ve entertained our troops in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and all over the world. So, no, this is not a money grab. This is a guy that believes in our country, that does not like people kneeling, not standing with their hands over their hearts, for the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem. That’s what I’m about.”
As of November 18th, Neal McCoy went on social media for 681 consecutive days and has said the Pledge of Allegiance. The country music star also blasted the GQ cover depicting former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick as citizen of the year:
“If you haven’t seen it they named their GQ ‘Citizen of the Year’ for 2017, Colin Kaepernick. Now, I didn’t read the article, I saw it when I was driving, I understand they’re probably going to say he’s done a lot for Civil Rights and everything, and maybe he has. Maybe whatever he was trying to do, with civil unrest, maybe African Americans being treated wrong, or not equally, and some of that’s right. Maybe that’s what he was trying to do. But, taking a knee during the National Anthem at a professional NFL game is not the way to do it.”
Barack Obama said Trayvon Martin could have been his son, but it was really Kaepernick, i.e. someone who hates police and tries to gin up racial hatred. Obama always attacked the police before he knew the facts, and almost always was wrong. Kaepernick showed his true colors when he was caught wearing socks portraying police as pigs.
