Remember how President Trump was eviscerated in the mainstream media following the now-famous Charlottesville Unite the Right rally, which ended up in violence and one person killed by a presumed Nazi sympathizer after Antifa/BLM crashed the “party” and engaged the rally attendees?
At the time, President Trump correctly blamed both sides for the violence during an improvised press-conference and even if he later specifically singled out Nazis and KKK members, it made no difference for the fake-news media and big corporations alike, as they’ve condemned/accused the POTUS of sympathizing with the so-called “right wing”, while Antifa were described by mainstream media pundits as heroes fighting the racists and Nazis and all that nonsense.
Well, what do you know, after President Trump’s advisory councils were disbanded and big corporations’ CEOs profited from the opportunity to distance themselves from The Donald, while CNN and their ilk kept pushing with impeachment proceedings, now we just got word about previously unreleased documents via the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, documents which describe Antifa as the primary instigators of violence at public rallies.
“It was in that period [as the Trump campaign emerged] that we really became aware of them,”.These antifa guys were showing up with weapons, shields and bike helmets and just beating the shit out of people. … They’re using Molotov cocktails, they’re starting fires, they’re throwing bombs and smashing windows.”
Even before Charlottesville, dozens and, in some cases, hundreds of people on both sides showed up at events in Texas, California, Oregon and elsewhere, carrying weapons and looking for a fight. In the Texas capital of Austin, armed antifa protesters attacked Trump supporters and white groups at several recent rallies, and then swarmed police in a successful effort to stop them from making arrests.
Also, FBI and DHS documents describe how Antifa operatives act like terrorist cells, having non-related groups all around the country, without a centralized command and control center.
More recently, the antifa groups, which some describe as the Anti-Fascist Action Network, have evolved out of the leftist anti-government groups like “Black bloc,” protesters clad in black and wearing masks that caused violence at events like the 1999 Seattle World Trade Organization protests. They claim to have no leader and no hierarchy, but authorities following them believe they are organized via decentralized networks of cells that coordinate with each other.
Even better, the FBI was concerned with Antifa violence by the spring of last year, when they began an investigation into Antifa activists’ overseas trips, which were suspected of coordinating with their ilk (Euro-anarchists) to plan large bombings in the United States.
Some of the antifa activists have gone overseas to train and fight with fellow anarchist organizations, including two Turkey-based groups fighting the Islamic State, according to interviews and internet postings.
Obviously, you’ll not hear much about these DHS/FBI reports on CNN.
