Donald Trump Defends Vladimir Putin On National TV

The mainstream media is probably very happy today, as President Donald Trump did it again: during an interview for the Fox News which is set to be aired at 4 PM on Sunday, just before the Superbowl, when asked by Bill O’Reilly if he respects Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, The Donald replied:

“I do respect him. Well, I respect a lot of people, but that doesn’t mean I’ll get along with them.”

We can now expect a new wave of accusations from the liberal mainstream media mouthpieces about President Trump being a Kremlin puppet and the whole nine yards, the same stories pedaled during the presidential election campaign, right?

President Trump went further with being an alpha male and “saying truth to power” (the 4th estate is the press), stating that not only he respects Putin, but even accusing the United States of being not as innocent as it may seem.

After Bill O’Reilly asked President Trump why he respects Vladimir Putin, The Donald replied candidly:

“He is the leader of his country. I say it’s better to get along with Russia than not, and if Russia helps us in the fight against ISIS – which is a major fight – and the Islamic terrorism all over the world, that’s a good thing. Will I get along with him? I have no idea.”

Bill O’Reilly kept pressing The Donald to expand on his statement, insisting that Putin is a killer. But Donald Trump dismissed the accusation, saying that:

“There are a lot of killers. We’ve got a lot of killers. What, do you think our country is so innocent?”

This is not the first time when Donald Trump takes Vladimir Putin’s side and refuses to play nice when journalists ask him about his stance on Russia. In 2015, during an interview for the MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Donald Trump replied to the show host’s accusation that Putin kills journalists saying that:

“I think that our country does plenty of killing, too, Joe.

I’ve always felt fine about Putin. He’s a strong leader. He’s a powerful leader,”

The mainstream media’s reaction after yet another Trump refusal to slam Putin is predictable, let’s just brace for another wave of accusations that Donald Trump is a Russian mole and all that jazz, it will be fun to watch.
