Donald Trump Has Reagan Moment During UN Address

Trump UN address

Donald Trump delivered his first speech as POTUS to the United Nations on Tuesday, an America-First speech embossed with nationalism, while at the same time he put the world’s rogue regimes on notice. Moreover, the Donald marked a Reagan moment, when he mocked the failed ideologies of the left, socialism and communism.

When Donald Trump was just a presidential hopeful, he campaigned on a nationalist/populist America First platform, criticizing the United Nations and even NATO on numerous occasions for their bureaucracy and lack of efficiency. During his UN address on Tuesday, the POTUS emphasized the importance of sovereignty and the fact that governments are put there to serve their citizens first, while he blasted left’s diversity mantra and bashed globalism:

As President of the United States I will always put America first. We do not expect diverse countries to share the same traditions … or even systems of government.”

“As President of the United States I will always put America first, just like you as the leaders of your countries will always and should always put your countries first,”

All responsible leaders have an obligation to serve their own citizens, and the nation-state remains the best vehicle for elevating the human condition,”

The Donald talked about the importance of sovereign nations and talked about God our Creator, the sanctity of life and the importance of each nation having their own culture, beliefs and history.
He made the point that America is the guiding light and that he wants all nations  to work together to the benefit of their citizens, their country and world peace.

During his truth-bomb-dropping and fearless speech, Donald Trump slammed the dangers of radical Islamic terrorism (his actual words), Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, socialism, communism, Obama’s embarrassing nuclear deal with Iran’s theocracy, Saudi Arabia, the UN itself and last but not least, he threatened Rocket Man also known as Kim Jong-un with total annihilation.

One of the most heart warming moments was the POTUS blasting communism and socialism, to UN’s shock and horror:

The problem in Venezuela is not that socialism has been poorly implemented but that socialism has been faithfully implemented.  From the Soviet Union to Cuba to Venezuela, wherever socialism or communism has been adopted it has delivered anguish and devastation and failure.

This marks a first in a long, long time when a US President has the guts to sit in front of the whole world and tell it like it is.

Here’s the Donald on Obama’s catastrophic Iranian deal:

The Iran deal was one of the worst and most one-sided transactions the United States have ever implemented. Frankly that deal is an embarrassment to the United States.

[about Iran] Its oil profits go to fund Hezbollah and other terrorists that kill innocent Muslims and attack their peaceful Arab and Israeli neighbors… We cannot let a murderous regime continue these destabilizing activities while building dangerous missiles… We cannot abide by an agreement that provides cover for a nuclear program.”

Trump also criticized Syria’s “criminal regime” and demanded democracy for Venezuela, though, truth be told, Syria was a democracy and a secular and moderate Muslim majority nation, where Jews and Christians were protected by Assad’s regime, prior to being destabilized by US (and others) via proxy. Also, communists/socialists got the power in Venezuela due to democracy, i.e. they were voted into office by the dumb brainwashed masses. What Venezuela needs is more capitalism, not more democracy, but let that go.

The POTUS also slammed the UN for its bureaucracy, incompetence and their lack of results, hinting at Saudi Arabia’s hardcore Islamic theocracy:

Too often the focus of this organization has not been on results, but on bureaucracy and process. In some cases, states that seek to subvert this institution’s noble end have hijacked the very systems that are supposed to advance them. For example, it is a massive source of embarrassment to the United Nations that some governments with egregious human rights records sit on the UN Human Rights Council.

Finally, the Donald mocked Kim Jong-un, North Korea’s dictator, calling him Rocket Man and warning that the US military will totally destroy his regime if SHTF:

The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea. Rocket man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime. The United States is ready, willing, and able, but hopefully this will not be necessary. That’s what the United Nations is all about. That’s what the United Nations is for. Let’s see how they do.

It is time for North Korea to realize that the denuclearization is its only acceptable future. The United Nations Security Council recently held two unanimous 15-0 votes adopting hard-hitting resolutions against North Korea, and I want to thank China and Russia for joining the vote to impose sanctions, along with all of the other members of the Security Council. Thank you to all involved. But we must do much more.

Here’s the whole “show” for your viewing pleasure, enjoy!
