According to an US intelligence agency quoted by a senior US official (I know, it sounds very mysterious), Russia is considering the unthinkable, i.e. to return the famous whistle-blower/leakster extraordinaire Edward Snowden as a gift of sorts to President Donald Trump.

I know what you’re thinking, this is crazy, those darn’ ruskies would never do such a thing! However, according to NBC, US intelligence agencies collected and analyzed sensitive intel reports from Russia prior to arriving to this conclusion. Basically, this is an educated guess based on spy-chatter or something along these lines.

The documents are detailing how the Russian government officials talked about handing over Edward Snowden as a stratagem to smooth things out with President Donald Trump.

NBC claims that there’s even a second (also anonymous)  source which confirms the aforementioned intelligence report and notes that the Russian conversations about handing Edward Snowden’s head on a silver platter have been gathered since Trump’s inauguration.

Obviously, what we’re dealing with here is the mainstream/fake-news media, hence all their claims for which they present zero proof must be taken with a big grain of Himalayan salt.

Considering the disturbing fact that President  Donald Trump talked in the past about Edward Snowden along the lines of being  a spy and a traitor who deserves to be executed, today’s so-called news must be sending shivers down Ed Snowden’s spine.

“Team Snowden” is unaware of such plans that may send him on a trip back to the United States, said Snowden’s lawyer Ben Wizner when he was interviewed by NBC News.

“Team Snowden has received no such signals and has no new reason for concern,”

The White House declined to comment but the Justice Department was grinning at the possibility of Edward Snowden being sent back to the US, as he currently faces federal charges that would put him in jail for at least thirty years.

Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov described NBC’s claims as utter nonsense and I tend to side with the Russians on this one.

Considering what The Donald had to say about Snowden back in July, his return to American soil would probably equal to spending the rest of his life in prison (best case scenario):

“I think he’s a total traitor and I would deal with him harshly. And if I were president, Putin would give him over. Snowden is a spy who should be executed.”

Just to refresh your memory, Edward Snowden is an ex NSA contractor who was working at a facility in Hawaii. In 2013 he exposed a bunch of stolen top-secret documents to journalists, thus revealing US Intelligence’s dirty secrets, including the illegal domestic surveillance programs and all that sinister jazz.

Currently, Snowden lives in Moscow where he was granted refugee status and his residency permit is valid until 2020.
