Veronica Fleming is a computer lab teacher at Naples Latino Parkside Elementary School in Florida. After making the yuuge mistake of praising President Donald Trump’s immigration policy publicly on her personal Facebook account, she found herself “reassigned”.
Veronica Fleming wrote an acid post on Facebook during the “Day Without Immigrants” protests that were held all around the US, protests which culminated with (at least) dozens of people losing their jobs after failing to get to work. Here’s the Facebook post:
As NBC reports, it was only a matter of time until Veronica’s boss started to receive outraged phone calls from the parents demanding for her immediate dismissal over free speech basically.
Because you know, getting people triggered by stating your political views on social media is now a capital offense for the tolerant left (pun intended).
The Facebook post was allegedly written during working school hours. Veronica was not fired immediately , yet she was reassigned (as in moved) to administrative duties. You know, just like a cop put on administrative duty pending the department’s official investigation after he shot a thug.
However, Veronica’s crime was triggering liberals, that’s all. The school’s principal Tamie Stewart made the following statement in the aftermath of the horrible incident:
“We greatly appreciate our parents who have communicated to the school to share concerns so that we can address this issue.”
“I want to ensure our families that this person’s individual post is not at all reflective of our school staff in any way.”
Needless to say, considering the Latino particle in the ” Latino Parkside Elementary School”, the school’s demographics is majority non white, i.e. 70% Latinos and 20% Haitian, which somehow explains the public indignation among parents. You know, telling the truth has a certain ring to it, always.
And since Veronica doesn’t look like a minority at all, being a blue eyed (hot) blonde who likes Trump, she’s basically public enemy number one in 2017’s progressive America:
The outraged parents obviously pedaled the racist mantra instantly, starting an online public petition demanding for Veronica’s head on a silver plateau. Err, her immediate removal from the school’s staff. For the children, obviously:
Veronica Fleming is a teacher at Parkside Elementary School in East Naples.
We want to bring this to the attention of Collier County Public Schools so that they can evaluate this instructor’s explicitly racist and extreme views and proceed accordingly.
We understand that as a private citizen Mrs. Fleming should be allowed to express herself, however, as an educator at a school composed of predominantly Hispanic, Haitian, and students of other minorities, one should always be professional and behave as an impartial authority figure that is held to higher standards.
Veronica’s status was posted between 8a.m. and 9a.m. on Thursday, Feb 16th. At that time, Mrs. Fleming was already at work and may have been in her classroom facing the very same young children of immigrants to whom she refers on her post as “less mouths to feed”.
Please sign and share this petition. For our children. Thanks.
