We just got word from the Hill that even Democrats are getting sick and tired of “her” never-ending complains and pathetic excuses for losing the Presidency, as a former Clinton fundraiser and surrogate who worked for Secretary Clinton’s presidential campaign back in 2016 has said about Hillary’s recent book “What Happened” that it actually hurts the Democratic party. Also, he claims that Hillary should step down from the national spotlight and mind her own business, to put it mildly. Here’s the actual quote:
“The best thing she could do is disappear. She’s doing harm to all of us because of her own selfishness. Honestly, I wish she’d just shut the fuck up and go away.”
The former Clinton surrogate/fundraiser who played an active role at the DNC convention spoke under the condition of anonymity for understandable reasons (think Arkancide), yet he’s not alone in his assessment with regard to Hillary’s new book. There’s an increasing number of Democratic lawmakers and (former) Clinton allies who deplore the timing of the book’s release and also they don’t approve of Hillary’s nationwide book tour, describing the book release and the news cycle that follows it as her final torture for the Democratic party, which deepens the divide between establishment DEMs and progressives (read Bernie supporters who can be described as hard-core socialists).
According to Democratic Rep. Jared Huffman in an interview for Politico:
“Maybe at the worst possible time, as we are fighting some of the most high-stakes policy and institutional battles we may ever see, at a time when we’re trying to bring the party together so we can all move the party forward-stronger, stronger together,”
“She’s got every right to tell her story. Who am I to say she shouldn’t, or how she should tell it? But it is difficult for some of us, even myself who’ve supported her, to play out all these media cycles about the blame game, and the excuses,”
Hillary seems to be incapable of assuming her mistakes during the campaign, blaming her failure as a candidate on sexism (sexist Bernie bros who did not vote for her), the Russians (the collusion conspiracy theory), misconduct on the part of Comey’s FBI and a wide variety of other factors (Macedonian content farms for example). As she put it in a May interview:
“I made mistakes, but that’s not why I lost,”
