Following European Union’s suicidal open borders policy at the request of Angela Merkel, Germany’s chancellor, a policy which led to a massive surge in illegal immigrants posing as war refugees in the last couple of years and consequently to a spike in criminality and terrorist attacks, Hungary built a wall at its border with Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia, while refusing to take in its Brussels-imposed “quota” of migrants.
And guess what: after finishing their big, beautiful wall, Hungarians saw a dramatic reduction in illegal immigration by over 99%. This is a powerful lesson for the United States with regard to the impact of constructing a wall at the Mexico border, as per President Trump’s campaign promise.
According to Hungary’s Chief Security Advisor György Bakondi, after Hungary sealed its border with Serbia in 2015, illegal immigration collapsed from almost 400,000 in 2015 to less than 20,000 in 2016, while 2017 saw only 1184 illegal immigrants successfully entering Hungary, most of them from Romania. Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s adviser has said:
The system of technical barriers is the key to the success of border security, and without it, it would be impossible to stop the mass arrival of immigrants”

Moreover, Hungary has reportedly electrified portions of its double sided fence/wall on the Serbian border. There are electrocution warning-signs in Arabic, Serbian and Hungarian on the fence, while the Hungarian government will further equip it with thermal imaging cameras, night vision systems and motion detection sensors.
To quote the clueless globalists from the UN, UN refugee chief Filippo Grandi respectively:
My fundamental impression is that there is a very clear intention here to limit severely the number of people that are allowed to come to Hungary to seek protection.
When I was standing at the border fence today, I felt the entire system is designed to keep people, many of whom are fleeing war and persecution, out of the country,”
Who would have thought that an electrified border wall is built and designed for keeping undesirables away, and lo and behold, it really does the job with flying colors?
