Immigration Shock President Trump Hints He's Open to Amnesty for Illegal Aliens

During a press gaggle with mainstream media reporters on Wednesday, President Trump who’s already called “Amnesty Don” by every doubtful Thomas in the conservative media, has said that he’s open to offer the 800,000 DACA illegal aliens a pathway to citizenship. President Trump told AP during a short interview that “It’s going to happen”.

The AP reported:

“If somebody’s worked hard, if they’ve done a great job, it gives you an incentive to do a great job. They’ve worked hard, They’ve done terrifically, whether they have a little company, or whether they work, whatever they’re doing, if they done a great job, I think it’s a nice thing to have the incentive after a period of time to become a citizen. We’re going to morph into it. It’s going to happen, at some point in the future, over a period of 10 to 12 years.”

If you’re reading exactly what the POTUS has said, you’ll see that he’s talking about his immigration policy, which is based on merit, i.e. “if they done a great job“. Basically, he says that not every DACA recipient would be eligible for citizenship, but a select few who worked hard. To me, it’s an open and shut case. Also, President Trump said he wants great border security as part of any DACA deal with the Democrats, and even named a price tag: at least 30 billion dollars, of which 25 billions for the wall.

Basically, Trump is masterfully  using DACA as a bargaining chip to get the wall and much else, and a “pathway” does not mean automatic amnesty. The guy can’t get the wall built unless he himself gives a little. Common sense. He has to get something passed by both the House and the Senate, else it will be status quo until the next Democrat administration takes over, and then, who knows what we’ll get.
