French Jewish families are leaving Paris suburbs in droves due to a dramatic increase in anti semitic incidents, in what has been described by Paris commuter newspaper 20 Minutes as an internal exodus. Today’s levels of anti semitism have not been seen in France since the end of WW2. Why is this happening? Well, it’s pretty simple: France is undergoing a dramatic demographical change (Paris is now 15% Muslim) and French Jews are having a hard time trying to live among very different cultures that do not like “diversity” of opinion, not to mention diversity of faith, especially for Jews.
The north east of Paris, who once saw a vibrant Jewish community is now witnessing families leaving their homes to escape Muslim’s open hostility. Here’s what the Bondy synagogue president has said about the deteriorating climate of the last fifteen years which is now driving the exodus:
“It’s hard to explain, it’s provocations, it’s looks. There are places where we do not feel welcome.”
Here’s what Rabbi Moshe Lewin said earlier:
“What upsets me is that in some areas of France, Jews can no longer live peacefully, and that just five minutes from my home, some are forced to hide their kippas (skullcaps) or their Star of David,”
And why should that be, one may ask? How has antisemitism become so well rooted in France? Who watered the saplings? Why is no one felling the forest that has grown?
It is the same story as Sweden. No one was allowed to challenge the liberal left’s hatred of Israel which is the meat and drink of the Islamist raison d’être. They just joined in and gorged themselves.
Tens of thousands of French Jews quite France in the last ten years, citing safety fears that forced them to move to Israel. For example, 7900 left in 2015 and more than 5000 in 2016. Since 2016, 40,000 French Jews have emigrated according to AFP citing official sources.
