Kissinger Calls The Donald “phenomenon that foreign countries haven’t seen”

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger Praises Donald Trump on CBS

During a Sunday interview on CBS’s Face the Nation, the former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger praised The Donald avant la lettre so to speak. According to Henry Kissinger, Donald Trump has the potential to go down in history as a very considerable president, but let me quote the man himself:

“Donald Trump is a phenomenon that foreign countries haven’t seen,

So it is a shocking experience to them that he came in to office. At the same time, extraordinary opportunity.”

There’s an old Chinese proverb, that any crisis brings extraordinary opportunity for those who are smart enough to profit from it, and Henry Kissinger is very well known for opening China to US companies in the Nixon era. Also, Kissinger said that every country in the world will have to face 2 facts:

“One, their perception that the previous president, or the outgoing president, basically withdrew America from international politics, so that they had to make their own assessments of their necessities.
“And secondly, that here is a new president who’s asking a lot of unfamiliar questions. And because of the combination of the partial vacuum and the new questions, one could imagine that something remarkable and new emerges out of it.”
Henry Kissinger was asked about his opinion of President elect Donald Trump’s future foreign policy vision. The answer was the definition of stating the obvious, i.e. that Trump has a very different approach compared with Barack Obama et al, yet he praised the issues raised by Donald Trump in his campaign, saying that:
“I think he operates by a kind of instinct that is a different form of analysis as my more academic one.
But he’s raised a number of issues that I think are important, very important. And if they’re addressed properly, could lead to good — great results.”
Henry Kissinger’s interview aired by CBS and his reserved, even slightly optimistic tone with regard to a future Donald Trump presidency can be interpreted as an anointment by the powers that be, at least for the time being. Kissinger is a long-time globalist insider, a former Secretary of State and adviser for many US presidents, the idea being that his word really counts. Kissinger has also met with Donald Trump on several occasions since his last month victory.
“I give him huge credit for having analyzed an aspect of the American situation, develop a strategy, carry it out against his leadership of his own party, and prevailing. Now, his challenge is to apply that same skill to the international situation.”
