Lawyer #16: Former DOJ Official Joins Mueller team

According to an exclusive Reuters report citing a spokesman for special counsel Mueller, a former DOJ official has become the sixteenth lawyer to join the taxpayer sponsored “dream team” which is investigating the Russia conspiracy theory, also known as Kremlin’s interference in the 2016 presidential election.

The spokesman for the special counsel, Josh Stueve respectively, told Reuters that Greg Andres is now “lawyer number 16” and he started his new job on Tuesday. The 50 year old former criminal defense lawyer who worked recently for Davis Polk&Wardell, a New York based law firm, also served as deputy assistant attorney general  for Barack Obama’s Department of Justice (the criminal division)between 2010 and 2012. Mr. Greg Andres’s job in the DOJ was to manage a special program targeting illegal foreign bribery and he also oversaw the fraud unit.

Special counsel Mueller’s dream team, which is composed of a bunch of DEM donors and former Obama operatives was aimed initially at investigating the possible collusion between the Russian government and Trump’s campaign team, but it ended up investigating Donald Trump’s personal finances and real estate deals from the 90’s among other things, under the pretext of a Russia probe.

Greg Andres worked under Eric Fast&Furious Holder from 2010 to 2012, and obviously, there’s no bias here, nothing to see, move along and the whole nine yards. This is a completely fair and square investigation, to quote RINO Paul Ryan, right? The latest addition to Mueller’s team means that the probe (read witch hunt) is not going to end anytime soon.

Provided that special counsel Mueller is investigating the possible collusion between Russia and the Donald’s campaign team, which is not the case anymore, one may ask why he needs so many lawyers, right? If he needs anything, it’s investigators, whose skill-set is not necessarily coincident with that of lawyers. And of course, investigators are a lot cheaper compared to lawyers.

It definitely looks like Mueller is pushing hard by baiting the POTUS to fire him with these in your face appointments. Wouldn’t surprise me a bit if he gets Holder and Lynch on board next. Truth be told, Mueller knows he has no evidence and nowhere to go, so he’s basically trying to get fired. That is the only way he can ‘win‘ in this scenario. He may need to be fired anyway, but that is his game.
