Leak: AG Sessions to Announce Investigation Into White House Leaks

Jeff Sessions crack down on leaks

AG Jeff Sessions is about to announce a series of criminal leak investigations, according to a source speaking anonymously to Fox News. The now famous “source familiar with the issue” told Fox News earlier on Tuesday about the White House’ efforts to put an end to criminal leaks once and for all. According to the anonymous “leaker”, criminal investigations are underway and they’ll be announced officially as early as next week by Jeff Sessions, provided he’s still AG until that day.

The news about Jeff Sessions preparing a crack-down on criminal White House leakers comes as President Trump is increasing pressure on his attorney general. Donald Trump expressed his disappointment with  Jeff Sessions on several occasions, via Twitter, news conferences and interviews, fueling speculations that he’s about to fire him and appoint a brand-new AG.

The criminal investigations will focus on news reports that made public sensitive intel material. And despite the Donald blasting him on a daily basis, AG Sessions doesn’t look like he’s getting ready to step down, as in he has absolutely no intention of resigning, according to his chief of staff Jody Hunt. President Trump accused AG Sessions on Tuesday of being soft on leaks from the intelligence community:

“I want the attorney general to be much tougher.I want the leaks from intelligence agencies, which are leaking like rarely have they ever leaked before, at a very important level. These are intelligence agencies we cannot have that happen.”

President Trump’s new communications director Anthony Scaramucci also made an official statement on Tuesday , warning that he’s ready to fire everybody (under direct authorization from President Trump) in order to put an end to illegal intel leaks coming from the White House. Anthony Scaramucci was very blunt:

“You’re either going to stop leaking or you’re going to get fired,”
