Frustrated mainstream DEMs hoping to increase their chances of winning future elections have a clear message to their leaders: stop talking about Russia, or at least, not so much. The thing is, the Democrats’ are starting to realize that their obsession with the so-called Russian collusion which was pedaled by their lapdog mainstream media incessantly since President Trump entered the White House is not doing them any favors.
The Russia conspiracy theory created a number of probes/investigations into President Donald Trump’s administration alleged ties with Kremlin, but after almost a year of looking for evidence, the proof is in the pudding. And it’s zilch, zero, squat, nada. It’s all smoke created by the MSM’s echo chamber via fake news stories and anonymous sources but no fire.
However, after losing 5 special elections in a row, mainstream Democrats are beginning to grasp the concept that outside of their leftist bubble in Washington DC, the fake news Russia-Trump collusion narrative is basically a non issue with their district voters. Regular DEM voters living in “flyover America” are more interested on menial (pun intended) stuff, things like healthcare costs, jobs and bread and butter economics. Following the special election string of epic defeats, many Democrats are now trying to persuade their dear leaders to adjust the party messaging system, as the 2018 mid term elections are right around the corner. Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) was quoted as saying for MSNBC on Thursday:
“We can’t just talk about Russia because people back in Ohio aren’t really talking that much about Russia, about Putin, about Michael Flynn. They’re trying to figure out how they’re going to make the mortgage payment, how they’re going to pay for their kids to go to college, what their energy bill looks like.
“And if we don’t talk more about their interest than we do about how we’re so angry with Donald Trump and everything that’s going on,then we’re never going to be able to win elections.”
Another DEM, Rep. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) respectively who’s looking to run for Governor next year also believes the Russia Trump probe is not on the people’s radar.
“I did a 22-county tour. … Nobody’s focusing on that. That’s not to say that they don’t think Russia and those things are important, [but] it’s certainly not top on their minds.”
As a conservative, I love watching the Democrats reducing themselves to a party that stands for nothing burgers with Russian dressing, with pussy-hats and not much more.
