President Donald Trump just signed an executive order earlier on Thursday, which may doom Obamacare/ACA once and for good. The new executive order on healthcare choice and competition followed the failure of the Republican controlled Congress to repeal/replace the Obama-era healthcare legislation. President Trump is now trying to take care of the problem unilaterally, thus following on one of his core campaign promises, i.e. the repeal and replace of the failure that is Obamacare (currently imploding all over America).
The new executive order is aimed at helping small businesses by allowing them to join together across state lines, in order to purchase (cheaper) healthcare-coverage via what is currently known as AHPs (Association Health Plans). Also, the executive order will expand access to short coverage healthcare-plans, which are currently not compliant with Obamacare terms/requirements.
Basically, the new EO is adding options to the Rules of the Labor Department to open up new avenues for small businesses and to create healthcare groups just like big businesses and industry organizations can.
Conservative Senator Rand Paul together with allies in the Congress and the Trump administration are regarding this move as the first step for providing consumers with cheaper health care coverage and more choices. Donald Trump signed his new executive order during a White House event, with many small-business owners in attendance. He was quoted as saying:
“This is a first step to make it easier for employees to help their workers. With these actions we’re moving toward lower costs and more options in the health care market,”
Democrats are not happy, obviously, claiming that Trump is hurting the sick and the elderly as healthier Americans will abandon Obamacare for purchasing cheaper coverage and all that liberal palaver, as if prior to Obamacare America was a third world country.

One of the architects of Obamacare, Ezekiel Emmanuel told CNN:
“This is a case where doing something is worse than doing nothing. It’s not going to solve the problem at all and remember, it effects a very small number of people.”
“It won’t do anything for a lot of the people on the exchange who are not members of franchises or trade associations. So this is more show than actual reality in terms of making health care affordable for Americans.”
And Obamacare is a case where doing something is worse than doing nothing. Ezekiel Emanuel continues to defend a failed legislation which should never have been adopted in the first place. He is complicit in the whole nasty and expensive affair that is ACA.
Let Obamacare fail. Stop funding it. Stop robbing from the young to pay for this Ponzi scheme.
