President Donald Trump Slams ‘Unfunny’ TV Hosts, Wants ‘Equal Time’ for Republicans

trump slams late night comedians

President Trump went on to Twitter on Saturday morning and slammed the media and those “unfunny” late night TV hosts/comedians, suggesting that Republicans are getting the short end of the stick as they’re not given equal time to DEMs on TV. Someone should tell the President that mass media is the real opposition party, that in case he already forgot.

The POTUS’ mini Twitter storm followed Fox News’ show “Fox and Friends”, during which the hosts accused late nigh comedians Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon of taking a hard turn to the left. For those of you who are not watching the so-called comedians, Kimmel became famous for his pathetic emotional monologues against the bill aimed at repealing/replacing Obamacare. He also criticized the lawmakers’ reaction to the Las Vegas massacre from last Sunday as he  burst into tears. According to a recent study, President Trump was the target of late night jokes during his first one hundred days into office unlike any other POTUS in recent memory.

The thing is, comedians today aren’t comedians. People laugh nervously to hide discomfort, looking around to see if everyone else is laughing or frowning, rather than because they’re entertained. A generation is growing to adulthood thinking that a comedian is a liberal political speaker. It’s all they’ve ever seen out of a comedian.

Also on Saturday morning, President Trump offered a rare compliment to the Washington Post for one of their stories covering Trump voters’ raising money for the RNC:
