Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has vehemently denied the claims pedaled by the left wing mainstream media regarding him discussing with President Donald Trump about the firing of former FBI boss James Comey during their official meeting on May 10th.
Liberal mainstream media outlets like the NYT and WaPo published a number of articles earlier this week claiming that the POTUS had told Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that his dismissal of James Comey ameliorated what has been described as a “great pressure”.
On Saturday, Sergei Lavrov told reporters that the mainstream media is (as usual) running fake news stories in their quest to undermine Donald Trump’s efforts to deal with Russia :
“We did not touch on that topic at all,”
According to the “very fake news” mainstream media’s claims, Trump reportedly said whilst speaking with Lavrov that, let me quote:
“I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off… I’m not under investigation.”
Judging from the innuendos in the MSM, President Trump fired James Comey to lift the respective pressure. The same articles describe how Trump believed Comey to be crazy and a real nut job, end quote.
As usual, despite their wild claims, the hit-pieces from the fake news mainstream media provided zero proof on their allegations. It’s worth mentioning, for the sake of the narrative, that those pesky ruskies have already offered to provide the American media with copies of their transcripts of the bilateral meeting, but as far as we know, there were no takers. Just don’s ask how the Russians recorded the meeting, right?
The thing is, US media, who did not have any reporters in the room, somehow knows with 100% certainty that Trump said something, and it is somehow up to Trump to prove he didn’t say it. I really wish Trump would simply mock these idiots until they couldn’t show their face again…. they deserve to be barred from attending any further press briefings or events; perhaps, the media should have to make a declaration of truthfulness at the end of each report stating that under penalty of perjury the information contained is true – and if the media does not have such a declaration, one could assume that the information is fake news.
I’d bet that CNN would suddenly only have about 20 minutes worth of material each day and the NY Times would be reduced to the sports page and the comics section.
